Peter Fisher violin
Peter Fisher is an artist of remarkable versatility and insight who possesses a tone quality of great beauty and lyricism. His recent success as Prizewinner in the Alexandre Glasunov Violin Competition in Paris confirms his place amongst the leading British violinists of his generation.
Peter is equally at home in the role of soloist, chamber musician and director. His appearances at the top UK concert venues have more recently included The Albert Hall and the Wigmore Hall, he regularly travels the entire world to play for his audiences and has broadcast for all the major radio stations.
Peter Adams cello
Peter began his musical studies whilst at school with Dennis Nesbitt and Maurice Zimbler. At the age of 16 he joined the orchestra of London Festival Ballet and in 1984 was made principal cellist with the London String Orchestra and London City Ballet. In the same year he was appointed professor of viola da gamba and baroque cello at the Royal Academy of Music where, at 21, he was the youngest ever professor at the RAM.
In 1988 Peter left England to study for two years at Indiana University, USA, where he took lessons and masterclasses with Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, Janos Starker, Paul Tortelier and Rostislav Dubinsky. He was a founder member of the Rogeri Trio and is currently a member of the Bochmann String Quartet, both with a large list of recordings and broadcasts.
Peter appears as guest principal cellist with a variety of orchestras all over Britain and is the principal cellist of the English String Orchestra.
Peter Hewitt piano
Peter Hewitt devotes his music making to solo work, chamber music and Lieder. Over the last 12 years he has built up many long term musical partnerships giving an average of 60 concerts each season. The first CD in Peter Hewitt’s survey of the 32 Beethoven piano sonatas attracted geat critical acclaim. International Record Review described it as “the finest Beethoven piano sonatas debut disc I have heard for years; it deserves a place in every CD collection.” Peter Hewitt was subsequently invited to appear in a distinguished series of concerts featuring six of Europe’s finest virtuoso pianists. He tours extensively, frequently appearing at the major UK concert halls and his performances are regularly broadcast by radio stations around the world. |
